robert, Anything we can provide to students to help alleviate questions, the better. It saves us all time. I love the checklist idea. Thanks!

robert, I really try to emphasize to all students that they should self-assess prior using the rubric prior to turning in any assignment. Those that do perform better. Go figure. Ha! ;-) Thanks!
Janis, Cool! We love these type of resources. Anything to make our jobs easier. I like to use rubrics I find online, but then tweak them to meet our needs. Thanks!

robert, Thanks for your description in four parts. It helps others understand more clearly. Nice job.
robert, The criteria, how they are worded and their connection to the objectives are essential. You're right - the rubric should alleviate questions instead of increase the confusion. Thanks!

Monica, So glad you mentioned that rubrics can help both the instructor and students. Thanks for your input.

Monica, I try to use language all students will understand even if I think it's very simple. I try not to get "into" their lingo. we have to keep emphasizing professional communication as well.
Discussion Comment
Monica, The better we understand our students, the more we can help them achieve the learning outcomes. We have to understand where they are coming from and their talents they have to share. This will differ from generation to generation. Nice job.
Monica, Netiquette is an important concept for students to grasp and anything we can do to help them is needed. Consistency in your feedback to students and your modeling professionalism is great. Thanks for your input.
Monica, You are right. Through consistency and frequency in your communication, you will begin to develop a pattern. Keep it up! Thanks!
