In nursing, as many other professions, life-long learning is a must. My goal is to teach these students the importance of life-long learning, as well as goal setting and professional development. Professional growth and development will make them better nurses, as they will learn the skills necessary to be successful.

I can help students become more comfortable with public speaking by assigning group assignments, which will also allow them to incorporate teamwork into the experience. Collabortating with peers in the classroom will help the students learn important communication skills which will help them in their professional lives.

Learning to write well can give the student more confidence in the subject matter, which will in turn give the future professional more competence. To be a good nurse, one must not only feel competent but appear as such.

A teaching environment that fosters creativity is extremely important for the students to learn better ways to solve problems.
