Activity

“Ready, Set, Pause” reminds teams to slow down, reflect, and align their efforts. I’ll apply this by scheduling regular check-ins to review progress and adjust plans.

PLCs help educators work together for lasting improvement and shared goals. I’ll focus on promoting collaboration and clear purpose in my CTE Culinary Arts team.

Technical skills and soft skills like communication. I’ll focus on providing real-world experiences and mentoring to better prepare students.

Retention keeps CTE students engaged; transition helps them move into careers or college. I’ll apply this by offering career support like mentoring and job prep.

I learned that the Preparation stage is about gaining skills and experience for a career, while the Commitment stage means deciding to follow that path and staying focused. I plan to help students set goals and find real-world learning opportunities to support their commitment.

Assessment helps CTE students identify their interests and strengths. Investigation lets them explore careers through research or real-world experiences. I plan to use both to guide students toward informed career choices.  Career cluster meetings will be used to help students and professionals in the industry of interest with any questions you may have.  It’s also a great step towards networking.

Question: What low-cost ways do you use to help students explore careers?

I believe training is only valuable when it improves real-world performance. Sharing ideas and challenges here helps me find better ways to make learning stick and drive results. Looking forward to learning from you all!

I believe that great instructional planning is the foundation of effective teaching and learning. When we design with intention, clarity, and flexibility, we create opportunities for all students to succeed. I’ve found that sharing best practices and challenges with others helps me grow and improve my own approach. I’m excited to learn from this community’s collective wisdom and to contribute my experiences as well. Together, we can make instructional design more impactful and meaningful!

Welcome, fellow CTE educators! This group is a fantastic space to share our collective wisdom, proven strategies, and real-world experiences. Whether it’s innovative teaching methods, action plans that worked, or challenges you’ve overcome, your insights are invaluable. Let’s learn from each other by discussing what’s helped us succeed and how we’ve tackled obstacles along the way. Jump in, share your story, and let’s grow together as a strong, supportive community dedicated to preparing our students for success!

I completely agree, honestly and integrity represents essential examples of professionalism.
