It's important to note that computer skills are not inherent in any generation of learner, as both new and older generations may struggle with using various technological tools. As I teach in a classroom of multiple generations, I should always remember to start from scratch - even if that means explaining the difference between an application and the file explorer.

It is important to remember that as an educator, I should also impress upon my students the importance of lifelong learning. What they learn in school is only the start of their journey, one of several steps, and that they should always seek to improve.

Working in a group setting is important, as people often have to work with others when it comes to the work environment. Being able to navigate the implicit and explicit social cues is just one aspect of the job, and equally as important as the technical skills needed behind it.

Taking a scaffolded approach to writing assignments will be important for the level of learners I engage with at work. Taking assignments in steps throughout the weeks would work best, so that students can really delve in but leave plenty of time for feedback and revisions.

This really emphasized the importance of teaching creativity to my students by allowing them the proper time to formulate responses, work together, and drafting flexible assignments for them to try their hand.
