There is a fine line between being a mentor/instructor and becoming too friendly with students.  What students percieve is always different than our intentions

excellent.  This coveres all areas of learning

Because adults wear many hats family, children, aging parents etc they do NOT want to waste time.  They are insistent that your do not waste their time and want information that is black and white

If you do not have a facility that the student can go to take make-up exams.  How do I work that so I am not sitting in a classroom (extra time for me) watching a student take a make-up exam?

I think this is a good tool.  Thank-you for sharing

I think we should push outselves out of our comfort zone and try something different.  If the different makes you uncomfortable the students will be uncomfortable so be careful.  Maybe, practice before a new technique

When I am NOT prepared.  ugh

I never understood that moving around the room helps to motivate the students.  I tend to walk back and forth across the front, but not up and down the aisle.  Will try this and see how this works.

There is one in every class.  I don't feel that I should build the entire class around 1 student.  Shame on the student

I've learned in 20+ years of teaching that I can't want it more than the student.  Dragging a student over the finish line is absolutely exausting.
