This module highlighted the importance of keeping an updated resource notebook, with clear parameters for institutional processes such as credit transfers. It also reinforced the need to thoroughly understand programs and departments to confidently guide prospective students. Additionally, it emphasized compliance with regulations and introduced the reference notebook checklist, including essential links for quick access to relevant information.

The training highlighted the importance of student services, compliance with Fair Consumer Practices in educational marketing, and reviewing promotional materials to ensure transparency. It also emphasized collaboration between departments and clear communication for an efficient admissions process.

In the training, I learned that the enrollment contract must be fully completed, with signed copies kept in the institution's files and provided to the student. The institution's catalog also serves as a reference for financial aid information. Additionally, I understood the importance of knowing the school's requirements and state regulations to ensure an adequate and efficient admission process.

In the first module of the FAPSC Admissions training, I learned about the importance of the admissions team in student recruitment and retention. The course emphasized the need to provide clear information about programs and follow best practices.
