Understanding assessments and how they can be using to gain knowledge about what students have learned will aid instructors in how to move foward with teaching and engaging students. 

It is important to assess student knowledge through assessing student performance and learning abilities. 

Engaging students through questioning allows the instructor to check student understanding and gain a better understanding of what students know. 

Creating an enivironment for student success, which hightligts their individual style of learning is important. 

Motivating students is important to student success as well as maintaining student retention. 

 

Building student rapport is important to engage with students. Instructors should be mindful of how and when to engage students to prevent off-task behaviors within the class setting. 

 

It is important to learn your students we instructing a class. Students want to know that they are valued when attending class. Additionally, assuring that each class is engaging warrants students will actively attend each session. 

 

This course focuses on the importance of understanding student interactions. As course instructors, we are responsible for assuring students understanding as well as assuring students successfully pass each course. In addition, it is equally important to promote student understanding to limit student retention. Instructors should be understanding of student needs inside and outside the class setting.
