Positive reinforcement always has worked for me. We are all entitled to have a bad day, That is no excuse for not showing any effort at all. My approach is this, If I'm not leading by example who is?

My mentor for my first year was a great support and reassurance for me. We have grown a strong relationship, Not only as colleagues, but as friend's as well being half way through my third year. We constantly brain storm ideas back and forth for the betterment of the students.

Becoming a teacher and a role model and keeping things professional and keeping my private life separate. Setting boundaries is as important as teaching content.

I too have found CTE a great path for students to learn hands on real life scenarios.Being a Vocational Technical student myself from years long past served me well.
