It certainly does make one wonder when college advertising mirrors political campaigns. It is unnecessary, in my opinion, and as the material suggests, it ultimately negatively impacts the program. It is very similar to gossiping in high school. Integrity and creditability matter and at the end of the day it is those principals that secure and retain staff, faculty, and learners. I feel that it is extremely crucial for an academic institution, or any place of business for that matter, to have integrity as their foundation and guiding tool in the manner in which they conduct themselves. Compliance ensures that there is a uniform set of guidelines that each institution must follow to protect the rights of the learners, the employees, and the quality of education being provided. It is rather unfortunate that there have been institutions who have acted with greed and poor intentions with respect to misleading their learners.
