Incorporating multiple question formats helps promote engagement and provides a clearer picture of what students truly understand.

Asking other students to paraphrase or respond to their peers' answers to questions is a great way to maintain engagement from students who are not directly asked the question. Also, 'wrong answers lead to more questions' is a great way to view of students not immediately getting the answers correct!

As students use more technology, adapting to it is important. Used correctly, technology can support their learning goals. It also allows students to engage more actively with content, collaborate with peers, and access resources that support diverse learning needs.

This module helped me solidify my planning regarding keeping classes engaging from start to finish. Planning more activities that apply to the topics at hand, keeping segments between 20-25 minutes, and driving home how the information being covered will benefit their goals are all great ways to keep the class flowing!

Taking risks and trying new teaching methods can be a great way to improve as an instructor and reach students that respond best to different learning styles! Keeping preparation and goals at the forefront of active learning is key.

Being open to letting the students come to the correct answer/method on their own, instead of directly giving each answer, can help foster more critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the subject materials!

Using shorter mini-lectures is an effective way to deliver class content since the average attention span of an adult is 15-18 minutes.

Providing students with a sense of where they're going and how they'll get there is a great outcome for the first class with a new group!

The importance of keeping a checklist and preparing thoroughly for each class. Having the confidence to know you've covered every topic properly and in a timely manner is a result of having kept a checklist and planning well!

I've learned that the best way to motivate students is to help them see the progress they're making daily!
