Activity

The power of observation reveals the inner workings of different types of students, and not immediately reacting but taking time to process said observations is ultimately more effective for working with students rather than being reactive.

Through teaching the same course multiple times I have found that selling a class early and finding constant ways to connect to the "What is in it for me?" question keeps students engaged and believing in the coursework

Facilitating an active environment where an instructor takes the role of a coach is a refreshing approach towards educational content that emphasizes a hands on experience to let content sink in, and connects back to what I found were the most beneficial ways that I learned during higher ed. Recognizing what responsibilities fall on the shoulders of students during a course helps in understanding the role of a teacher and how to present lessons and activities

recognize students desire for independence and offer choices, approach lessons with hands on experiences vs just lecturing and listening
