The material in ED106 was presented very well.  I have to say that I learned quite a lot from this course.  It gave valuable guidelines for delivering clear presentation.  I especially like the idea of prior to introducing a new concept, summarize what has already been covered, show a connection between what has been covered and what is to be covered, show applications, help the student to realize the relevance of it.  Another great suggestion:  the concept of using "pauses" effectively carries such an impact during the course of instruction.  Bottom line: Great course, lots of valuable information.

I too am an adjunct dental faculty member.  Much of my teaching is hands-on and verbal, and as a result I do not come in contact with students with learning disabilities (at least not that I am aware of anyway).

ED106 had plenty of very useful information.  The portion on delivering a clear presentation was very helpful to learn. The entire course was presented very well.  Al four modules contain useful information that can be implemented very easily.  Much of my teaching is hands-on and verbal, and as a result I don't have much contact with those students that have learning disabilities (at least I am not aware of them).

I also realized how important it is to reassess your teaching style by keeping a journal of what… >>>

I found the course to be organized and presented well.  I enjoy dealing with a diverse group of students.  The course strengthened my belief in how important it is to present the material clearly, treat each student as an special individual with a name, who is motivated and excited to be in class.  I have used many of methods presented in the course in my past teaching positions and it really makes a difference.
