Retention is a big issue in the career institute. all this schools are for profit organization. For them to survive they need students and keep them till completion of the course. For the instructors if they also needs to be involved in the retention process then it is a problem. Instructors will try everything to keep them in school. Make them pass the class even they fail. Will give them attendance even they did not come to the class to maintain their percentage. So, it is better retention process to be done by the advisors or career service dept.

Question setting is very important. Which will give the instructors feedback. It will never be same for all courses. Every course needs its own ways of assesment. Instructors should research and verify different standerized tests before setting the tests.
In the career education that is our goal. As an instructor we make sure that students learn exactly what they have to do in the workfield. That is the reason we sent them for internship. And we collect the performance report from the internship site before we certify them.

It is really an art to involve everybodies in the class. Which is not an easy task. But to have a good outcome it is imperative to involve everybody in the class. As an instructor we have to apply all the techniques available to involve all in the class.
Everybody has specific methods of learning. As an instructor with a large group of class it is always difficult to know everybodies preference.So it is always best to use multiple methods. Even everybody has their own preferences of learning methods. It does not mean they will not learn at all when other methods are used. So it is best for the instructors to use multiple methods. This way we can get the best results.

Hard intelligence and IQ is known by everyone. Same with me. I never thought of soft intelligence so important. But after going through this topic I realize that soft intelligence is very important in the daily life. The way we interact with students and other collegues is mainly based on soft intelligence. and success in the jobs and putting impact on students life is not depends on IQ only, mostly on EQ.So to be succesful in this respect we should be more focused on EQ then IQ.

Learning is a complex process.It is also depends on the individual who is learning. Everybody has a preferred ways of learning. Somebody learn by listening, some from reading and some by doing or applying. Which methods give a permanent or long lasting learning is also different based on individuals. But still you need multiple ways of teaching. One only method will not complete the whole learning process. We need to lecture then demonstrate the process and then let the students do by themselves.Ultimately active learning is needed because student will have to do the same thing in the jobs what… >>>

To improve productivity in the job and life everybody needs to keep their stress level to a minimum. which is not an easy tusk.This course definitely will help. And as an instructor we can also guide our students and help them achieve their goal by reducing stress.
It is imperative to provide secure envirnoment in the classroom for best learning. security brings more autonomy in the mind of students. Learning will be best at its highest level when student feel secure and free minds. as an instructor our job will be to make sure students get maximum security and autonomy in class participation.
