A lot of this section's content was a recap for me, bput I was unaware of Slideshare. It sounds like a great tool to use, given I end up sharing my lecture slides in a PDF format after class. It'll be much more accessible with Slideshare!

I've worked with quite a few students with disabilities, and teaching to their learning preferences makes a huge difference in their academic success. I'll be incorporating more holistic evaluations, particularly in my introductory classes. It'll help me gauge the diverse learning preferences of all my students while giving me a good sense of their content comprehension.

The difference between language and literacy was enlightening. I'll keep that in mind when working with ESL students, and try to assist them with their English language  and literacy skills.

Being willing to recognize the adversities students of different cultural and racial backgrounds but not treat them differently is imperative to an inclusive classroom environment.

I've definitely found using a more flexible model when it comes to teach a diverse classroom is beneficial. I've worked with many students of varying abilities and backgrounds, and being flexible and versatile is a necessity!

This section was super informative. I'll be equipped to better adapt my course objectives to a variety of different generations and their preferred learning and delivery modalities. I'm especially excited to teach outside of my own generation, both younger and older, and see how I can create a flexible yet effective learning environment.

I generally have a significant split between my GenYers and GenZers in terms of professional digital literacy. Half are able to compose professional emails, while the other half use broken sentences. It's fun to see the different ways students learn and how I can adapt my courses to their learning needs. I also really liked in this module where it was mentioned that technology is a tool, not a crutch, which I think many individuals from multiple generations think. And like all tools, if handled properly and used correctly make it very effective, or disasterous in the hands of the… >>>

I found this to be a particularly interesting module. I work at a very non-traditional institution, so we get a very diverse age-range in our student population. Knowing how each generation prefers to learn will be really helpful when I'm working on my content delivery and class work.

It's good to learn about general generation preferences to hone in on ways students can learn and be successful in a course. Offering different modalities and accomodating learning styles in combination with generational considerations make for a potent mix of learning opportunities for diverse students!

I really liked the aspect of remaining calm while listening to others in response to a crisis/trauma. It's definitely true! All the advice was very realistic and reasonable, and I liked that they broke up the reactions into physical, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral. It helps cover the gamut of reactions one may see or even experience after a crisis, and it's helpful to be able to recognize them in yourself and others.
