I found the different teaching styles in combination with the different kinds of technological tools avialable interesting. There are definitely options that lend to teaching styles better, but the students need to be prioritized to ensure the technology and tools are appropriate for the content and help students learn.

"The challenge of implementation can be met by developing a clear identification of the goals of service learning and the resulting outcomes." I still face issues with students questioning why the service learning class is integral to the program, and the difference between it and an internship. I'm excited to take what I've learned in this module and apply it to my course and communicating the goals of the course accurately to my students.

The evaluation of the program and the students was interestin, as well as using service learning in disaster response. I hadn't thought about it until now, but it's valuable experience for students that would reinforce their sense of social responsibility and community.

I'm psyched to know I've essentially been teaching a service learning course! I never realized it had a category in education, and I've had many students say they learn the most from my service learning class, since it's a combination of relevant curriculum and industory client work community members wouldn't have access to.

This was a fabulous section. I was particularly interested in the portion regarding students learning advocacy. It's an area I've touched on in the past, but going in-depth on the topic and what kinds of advocacy students learn during service learning was enlightening. I'll probably create a lecture around it!

I'm most interested in incorporating the occasional phone activity. Socrative and Nearpod seem like they'd provide a great opportunity to engage students and reframe a distraction into another classroom tool, in theory lessening students' temptation to play with their phones.

The most important takeaway for me in this module was the note regarding optimizing technology around education, rather than education around technology. Even the most advanced tools are useless in untrained hands, and CTE needs to ensure graduates are both prepared to enter their fields as skilled professionals that are critical thinkers and equally capable when it comes to new technology.

A lot of this section's content was a recap for me, but it's always nice to know you're on the right track industry standard-wise! I hadn't considered, however, ensuring computers' operating systems need to be accessible as well. It's certainly something I'd like to look into since my students use both their own and campus devices.

I learned that it's important to keep everyone in the loop when implementing new technology, regardless of the scale. The pandemic has certainly reinforced that, but I hadn't considered that even individual implementation can impact stakeholders.

I learned the most from the copyright module. Since so much of my content includes example works from active professional creatives, I'm always up for learning more to ensure both my content and students' work are based in industry standard ethics and law. The questions regarding what could infringe on a copyright were very helpful.
