I was wondering if anyone out there can give me an example of being too bossy as opposed to "catering" to your crew you have to manage and being too "friendly" with them. I know a place I used to work at that always criticized management and tried to decipher that fine line, but nobody seemed to have a direct answer as to where or what that line was. In fact, the theory was hypocritical of the practice from what I learned through real-world scenarios.

I have learned that there are plenty of ways to motivate and get involved when it comes to teams. Knowing and understanding your team dynamics can help you make a better judgment of how to motivate/involve people and get them going in the right direction. I have always loved the "break it down" approach when it comes to indecision or failure to come to a unanimous decision. Once you get respect from all involved and everyone understands there are no hidden agendas or motives, the team can move forward with trust and respect of other individuals on the team knowing… >>>
