Allowing for multiple grading opportunities throughout a unit and assessing the process students use to master content will give students a better opportunity to demonstrate mastery.

Using a holistic grading approach and incorporating portfolios into the grading process may take more time for both students and teachers, but will allow both to focus on content mastery and personal growth.

Good teaching includes providing various ways for students to access content, grapple with content and show mastery of content. Being aware of varying modalities of learning and providing students with various ways of experiencing learning is key to inclusion.

Dynamic learning environments utilizing technology needs to incorporate many learning modalities and offer differing types of ways of expressing learning. Creating lessons that encourage students to utilize personal experiences along with providing ways for students to access content in various forms can give students the differentiation often needed for learning.

I learned about the history and development of chatbots that led to the new AI tools we are beginning to see and use today. Much in the way people had to be taught how to use the internet ethically and as a tool, we will go through the same growing pains with AI.
