I learned that it is important for students to know there audience when preparing for a job interview.

I learned that cover letter and resume are a must have for any successful job seeker.

I was able to learn that every student will have different job search needs. You have to be able to meet them where they are and connect them with the resources they need to succeed.

I have learned that it is important to gather and track stats from students, graduates, employers, and employment outcomes. It will be difficult to gauge institutional effectiveness without the data to back it up and drive improvement.

Giving students a variety of workshop option, both individual and group is a great strategy to help students build a solid plan for employment.

I have learned that in order to have a effective Career Services department you need to offer a targeted but varied selection of resources to your students.

I have learned that it is important to begin by outlining your mission, purpose, and goals. That way you can monitor outcomes and deliver more effective Career Services to your students and alumni.
