Active learning is important because it allows instructors to engage students in the learning process. It shows that students are retaining information and are able to use what they have learned. Active learning allows students to engage directly with material, whether its discussion posts, problem solving or a critical thinking assignment. 

When you are facilitating a course, having various types of technology available can help you reach more students. There are several Apps available now more than ever that will allow you to connect with your students and keep them engaged. These tools not only allow you to stay in contact with your students but also keep you in the know with new technology. 

I have learned the definition of hard skills and soft skills.  I have also learned the importance of obtaining these skills when it comes to employment. 

Asynchronous Learning is learning that is needed in today's environment.  With the changes we saw during the pandemic it is needed for K-12, but also for adult learners.

Engagement is crucial to keeping the student interested in the course and the content of the course.  If we as instructors do not create an environment that is inviting and interesting to the student; then they will fail to be present in the course and fail to complete assignments.   

Copyright Laws are very important to institutions to ensure that the students are using material correctly.  They are also of importance to instructors to ensure that the material that they are providing to students is not protected.

As an instructor takes inventory of his/her readiness to teach an online coure I believe taking an online course will benefit the instructor better than anything.  We all grew up within a real classroom and we were all able to spend time with an instructor/professor standing in front of us and presenting material for us to learn.  Online instruction is very different so unless you have had the experience of being in an online class you cannot relate to a student in an onine environment.  You are able to offer more insight and suggestions on how you can assist students… >>>
