This module perfectly decribed the success to compliance - it is a daily occurance. There were helpful tips to ensure the site visitors feel welcomed by treating them like a "guest" at the campus.  

I really enjoyed this module - it is now clear that disabilities can also be a condition that may not be seen.  As educators, it is important that we treat everyone respectfully - I find that people are more inclined to be patient and understanding with someone that has a physical disability than someone who may have an emotional or non-physical disability.  

I have learned that many people are not well versed on this topic which needs attention.  Some people perceive accommodations as an "advantage" when it is not - it is a means of "leveling out the playing field".  I learned that accommodations may not look the same, even if a student has the same disability - it is a customized plan for each student with the same learning objectives.  In addition, I also feel like understanding what a "reasonable accommodation" entails is equally important which will be covered in more detail throughout the training - looking forward to learning more… >>>
