The content is still sinking in, but it makes me reflect on past interactions where my reactions or feedback may have been different.

Even if I seem negative in an evaluation, I still try to suggest ways for the student to succeed or grasp a concept.

Competencies that are easily incorporated sometimes goes unnoticed.  We are too quick to concentrate on what needs improvement which brings with it feedback of what students are doing wrong.  Losing an opportunity for positive reinforcement may stall an emerging flow state or contribute to muddying complete understanding or appreciation of a subject.

Keeping up to date  is very important.  Students, graduates, and the institution rely on current information to keep up with the current landscape.

Good to review the requirements and standards especially when audit season arrives.

Documentation is a great way to record your thoughts and feelings.  It's also a wise way to define expectations, rules, and terms.

Reflecting on this gathered information should evolve the internship experience to something all parties benefit.

I expect most students seek guidance on the sop of a company, but take comfort knowing their specialized skills will develop in a professional atmosphere.  Networking and career path development was the furthest thing on my mind when I was in school.

Internships are great for developing skill and knowledge in real world applications.

Networking and career exploration are good too.

Whether to implement active learning early or later in the program is much like a phase in our recruitment process where we try to weed out those who are truly interested in the program and what it has to offer versus those who want to pick up a hobby or trying to make their parents happy.

I believe gamification is a wonderful tactic in education especially in my field since definite rules and procedures need following.

I believe adaptive learning applies to students who are entering new fields with no previous experience.  That way student who have an affinity to the subject matter can accelerate and quickly find the more challenging aspects of the material.  

Conversely, students who need more help have support too.  These students tend to consume more resources of the teacher, so having prepared activities for the faster learners is paramount.  Giving busy work to occupy students may help with the lock-step nature of a traditional classroom, but this may fatigue a student’s energy for incorporating new concepts or abilities.
