Reporting a malfunctioning traffic light on a mobile app may seem simple to some, but  those who are more accustomed to speaking to a person, or other instances, writing a letter will lose time and efficiency.  Perhaps there is a sense of accomplishment for the support they are giving their city, but the gain in efficiency and support is from the application itself.

Readiness to adopt technology is a skill that evolves quickly especially when its use is evident.

I'm looking forward to incorporating collaboration/teamwork in the classroom.  In our studies, this may align students' understanding of systems that aren't necessarily articulated, but require the same understanding.

Comment on Aitza Rodriguez Soto's post: Agreed.  I find it frustrating when students are just looking for "the answer" without knowing the context of why it's the answer. 

Sometimes I'll remind students a factor that helps define a position's salary is the level of independent critical thinking required.

The content is still sinking in, but it makes me reflect on past interactions where my reactions or feedback may have been different.

Even if I seem negative in an evaluation, I still try to suggest ways for the student to succeed or grasp a concept.

Competencies that are easily incorporated sometimes goes unnoticed.  We are too quick to concentrate on what needs improvement which brings with it feedback of what students are doing wrong.  Losing an opportunity for positive reinforcement may stall an emerging flow state or contribute to muddying complete understanding or appreciation of a subject.

Keeping up to date  is very important.  Students, graduates, and the institution rely on current information to keep up with the current landscape.

Good to review the requirements and standards especially when audit season arrives.

Documentation is a great way to record your thoughts and feelings.  It's also a wise way to define expectations, rules, and terms.

Reflecting on this gathered information should evolve the internship experience to something all parties benefit.

I expect most students seek guidance on the sop of a company, but take comfort knowing their specialized skills will develop in a professional atmosphere.  Networking and career path development was the furthest thing on my mind when I was in school.
