I believe it is important for educators to understand the purchase and retention process for the supplies and equipment in their classrooms. Educators are held accountable for all Perkins inventory and must ensure proper steps are taken when the inventory items become obsolete or are no longer needed.

It ensures that the money spent is used for its intended purpose which is to provide high-quality education for CTE students.

Perkins spending rules support the goals of Perkin by giving schools money that otherwise would not be available. Without the Perkins money students would not be able to learn the technical skills required for future employment because the schools would not have the equipment to teach those skills.

No, I was not surprised. The government never distributes funds without creating accountability for the management of those funds. Understanding all of the checks and balances that come with the distribution of funds is difficult. It requires organization and accountability within the LEA.
