Safety needs to be day one, and re-enforced often!

All too often poor behavior is being driven by a deeper problem. Appropriate probing can sometime help. 

Having started teaching without a mentor or coach, I can confirm have one or both really makes a difference.

I deal only with adult learners, so the boundaries are a little different. However, I have always limited my use of social media and tried to maintain a professional relationship with all the students. I remember the hype over social media 10 years ago, and how it has proven to need a healthy level of scrutiny.

I have been teaching in CTE in other states for about 10 years. This content reenforces what I have been doing.
