The academic issues for which students will encounter may be minor if the instructor have sound basic core values. Commununication is one of the best methhods to keep students engaged and motivated. Honest communication will help to guide the student along. Your class is as strong as the person behind it and you.

Motivating online students is very hard. We have so many obstacles before us. Time management, family, work, school and dont forget the most important, a social life. The postitive, motivated and informative instructor has a better chance of retaining the audience or client.

What I have learned here was a reinforcement of the information from the previous classes. Motivation, planning, assessing, communication are the keys to successful online class,

I have learned to incorporate a variety of learning styles in my courses. I do like the fact that options help to build self esteem which aids is student success. We teach to a variety of students and we must remember that when we are planning our courses.

I have learned that students may be more than one color and you have to learn to shift gears when teaching in an online environment.

I have reviewed the TC model and it is true. I have a friend who is orange and she fits so many of the characteristics. I am GOLD and all through high school I wanted to be an accountant.

I have also learned that you can have a combination of the personality traits which causes much anxiety within yourself.

Collaborative and cooperation activities can help online learners in many ways. One is is that if forms a bond between classmates and it gives them a level platform to ask questions and to find out new resources.

The several different ways to increase active learning were clearly defined and workable. F2F instruction allows the instructor to use several of these techniques without even thinking of it. We need to be mindful to incorporate the active learning environment in the online class.

Online instructors and instructors that spend hours on the course content do to often go unnoticed. Incentives are great motivators for time and effort.
