What are some of the admissions processes at other schools?  We all follow the same regulations but how do different schools handle interviews, admissions exams, etc.?

I would love to hear tips on how to manage relationships with students as they move on through the admissions and enrollment processes.  We often lose touch and want to touch base with students but it is difficult to follow through sometimes.

I don't have any other files that would be helpful.

If you are a representative at a nursing school here in Ohio this site can be extremely helpful.

This training was so helpful in reviewing and teaching of the State Board requirements.  I realize that my training is never actually finished but I feel confident I have the tools needed to continue it through the links and recommendations provided by the course.

Accreditation is a hot topic for most students so it is a good idea to know what accreditation you have and what the accrediting bodies do and what programs they accredit.

It is crucial to work together with other departments to make sure that you understand what their role is. This will make a smoother, more seamless experience for your students.

It is good to personally review the enrollment agreements from time to time and to make sure that a student has read them thoroughly prior to signing. Although we go over the agreement with the student, it is vital they know to take the information home and read through it and that it is a legal contract.

Sometimes it is a challenge when a potential student inquires as to whether or not their credits will transfer to another school. It is in their best interest to remind them they need to check with receiving schools regarding the acceptance of transfer credits. While they don't always like that answer, this course offers a great reminder why it is important for us not to make assumptions or generalizations.

@edwardzachary : This course is a great way to also better understand the regulations between departments such as financial aid, student services and admissions and to make sure we are all on the same page.  It's a good reminder of all of the regulations that govern our field of work.
