I learned that the language of learning challenge and not disability is important. I also will take into practice encouraging students to register their challenge with the university so they have the resources they need.

I really appreciated how differences in language can change how communication is percieved. Being your authentic self in how you communicate can help build rapport quickly.

It is important as an instructor to recognize and educate yourself on peoples culture and race in your classroom. Being "blind" is not a good thing.

The content in this module built on what I learned in my Master's degree about every student having different learning types and how you should incorporate more than one way to teach something or assess a students learning. I also learned a lot about ESL students and being monolingual/bilingual and how to best help students who do not speak English as their "mother tongue" in classes.
