Social media has taught me many things. Being able to use it with students I believe will help them engage more into the program.

I have learned that although we can utilize social media content, we must make sure it meets the requirements of the organization first. Safety and protection is a must when dealing with social media.

Integrating new ideas with social media is rising. I learned that we must make sure it's in compliance with the organization .  Social media definitely helps the student engage because we live in a world where technology is used more than ever. 

Revising the course is a continuous process for the course. Always look at the course as whole and revisit each section to close the loop and improve the course in general. 

I have learned to utilize both formative and summative assessments as well as give the students a Rubic to help them understand how they would be graded. Providing meaningful feedback instead of just commenting 

I have learned that a syllabus provides guidance for the students as well as the structure of how the course will go. 

I have learned that consistency with the structure of the courses is very important for the students to complete their assignments

I have learned that having each student engaging in the e-learning course can be crucial. Communication is key for everyone to understand the conduct of learning online. There may be times when a student does not engage. Emailing the student and getting a better understanding, so that each online interaction is pleasant for both the facilitator and student. 

I have learned that each student may have a different learning style. Each type of discussion is not meant for all students such as asynchronous, which allow the students to chime in at different times, and synchronous allows student to be on a set time. 

It's very important to build a repour with each student. Provide my background to help them feel comfortable with my skills and knowledge.
