It is important to create a culture of holistic assessment intentionally with your student group. you can do this by thinking creatively and implementing different learning tools such as creative design, presentation, hands on learning etc.

I learned that language and literacy are interdependent, as instructors we must be conscious of each individuals learning path and understand that each student learns differently. we must also understand the use of a students is important and the effect it may have a students ability to learn a new language as well.

As instructors we need to become really aware of our own language use and that of our students, and to try and use inclusive language as much as possible so that all of our students may have a meaningful and engaging learning experience.

Gender identity is developed through early childhood years and explored in adolescence years. it is important to understand the impact of this development and to be mindful of each individual as an individual and not as a group based on social norms
