Activity

Meetings, continuing education, up to date with changes at the institution related to courses offered, the resource notebook, and checklist are all things that should be in place at all times. I am new to this and tomorrow will be setting up a resource notebook with everything I have learned in this course.

What I took from this section is the importance of an orientation. That stuck with me because I think it's a great way to introduce the students to each other, the cirriculum, the expectations, and anything they would like to discuss prior to the class starting. I look at orientation as a way to break the ice.

I have learned that organization is key and extremely important so that things do not get missed in the admission process. I have also learned that admissions is extremely important to the student when it comes to being a resource for additional information like financial aid options.

So far I have just learned that this is a required course to be an Admissions staff and recruit students. Before today, I had no idea this was a requirement in Florida. Learning about the policies, procedures, and expectations of an admissions advisor is all new to me and I'm excited to get through this program!
