I found that some of my current materials incorporate aspects of the simulated work environment, having students role-play in a specific situation. I like the idea of incorporating this type of learning on a larger scale.

I learned that lesson planning is very important - I love the idea of the flipped classroom and feel like my content would lend itself well to the students doing their readings outside of class (prior to class) and then that would allow classroom time to be spend on more active learning. I hope to learn more strategies for motivating students to complete the reading assignments ahead of time.

I realized that some of much of my content has aspects of formative assessment built in as students can enter their confidence levels when answering content questions in certain assignments. I also like the idea of the Test Blueprint.

In my program, we have a course dedicated to Professional Development and Protocol, which includes lots of soft skills/employability skills. The idea of finding ways to incorporate those skills throughout any course is one that is interesting to me and could be valuable to my students.
