I think it is our job to challange the student. We must create a situation that makes the student think, work hard, and succeed at what they attempt. In doing so it is important for us to control the learning environment in such as a way that we set the student up to succeed and then make sure we praise them on their success. Challanging work makes the day go by faster, helps to keep the student focused on the task at hand, This can make learning exciting and can help improve retention.
