It is important to remember that just becasue you see and understand the course as an instructor does not mean your students see and understand the course the same way.  So evaluations from many different points is important. 

Feedback is an important tool not only from the instructor but from the students.  However, feedback not given guidlines can derail a class.

If scaffolding is done correctly then a strong foundation is built and the students will learn.  However, if the scaffolding starts out weak or is being built in the wrong direction it will fail to hold and students will not learn and lose interest.

I plan to stop reinventing the wheel.  That I can take templates and learning objectives and tweak them to fit my student’s needs.  However, in doing this I need to use a consistent format.
