I learned and reinforced my current usage of media sharing and sharing sites are important in todays classroom. The diversity found online to share with the classroom is vast and useful to support all learning styles as well as real life connections to your lesson content.

Thus far this course has opened my eyes to the idea of using other media platforms for my online classes. I think Canvas is a great foundation for all online classroom work and needs; however I do see how discussion posts and logs are becoming boring for students and even on my end. It would be very interesting to see how different students respond and interact if they were on a social media platform for some of these assignments. I also like the idea of having a classroom Facebook page like some of the previous comments have mentioned.

I loved diving into career portfolios vs resumes and the shift in building a digital live document that portrays who you are. Also the evolution of badges was something different to think about. Being open minded to how today's population of students use technology throughout their educational journey and how to promote successful learning with it's continued usage.

This unit was a good reminder of the learning process and differences between learning styles and needs. Being open and available for students to seek help and feel like we have their "backs" will support their willingness to accept help towards their success.

Supporting opportunities for personal investment to be recognized and definitely empowerment by student lead teach-backs.
