Qnly those with a legitimate educational purpose should have access to student records.

Value-added assessment tools are vital for both the student and professor - by providing tools like rubrics for students, the student can better understand the goals of assignment (as well as the course overall), and learning focuses can help the professor restructure the class so future students can benefit from.

In this mod we learned the difference between a formative and a summative assessment. A formative assessment is when you take assessment of the student's learning at intervals during the course while a summative assessment is given at the conclusion of a lesson to assess how much of the lesson the student learned.

In this mod we learned about the different types of assessments (knowledge-based, performance-based, portfolio-based and project-based Assessment) and how, when correctly utilized, they can help with understanding how much the student has learned.

We learned in this lesson about ways to communicate with students and the different ways students communicate in return. Also, we learned about was the deal with unfavorable behaviors to keep the learning environment healthy.

This lesson we learned the different between synchronous and asynchronous - or when discussions occur during together at a specific time (like in a chat) vs. when they occur in a board format at the students leisure. We also learned the 6 different styles of students learning, and how to communicate best with them.

I learned from this lesson that part of effectively conecting with your students is to give a proper introduction to yourself as an instructor.

I believe this platform can be a very effective way to give lectures to students as well as interact with them. I see nothing but growth for this format in the future and I am enjoying the interaction with the students. Knowing the platform and the support that is available is crucial, as is sticking to deadlines.
