I agree with you both 100%. It is important to provide our students with a list of all resources available to them when they first walk through the door. I think that this helps to ease stress and possible outside stressors as well.

@jlearamos : Yes this was an excellent course. It reminded me of all of the different ways I can teach my students to deal with major stressors in their lives, and it will benefit me at work as well.

@showboat : I agree completely! I really enjoy learning and love to learn from my students! Allowing them to answer questions no only helps me assess their knowlege or comprehension of a subject, but also allows them to give me their imput, feedback and explanations.

I have been teaching for about 3 years now, and I have to say I have had many students with learning disabilities. Thanks to course 106, I now have an understanding of how each disability differs, and a lot of new information on how I can help such students. At my employment site we have to wait for the student to come to us "asking for help" if they have a disability. A lot of times I may think one of my students may have a disability they need help with and I am unable to bring it up. Anyone… >>>
