I like the grading rubric at the end of the session for discussion board, sometime hard to get participation and this may allow for a way to encourage more and get results for the student.

Communicaiton is once again focused on as a key. Knowing what tools are available and the correct type of audaince is really important.  Phone conversation for 1 on 1 and small group may work but for larger a tool like Hangout or Zoom may be better when participants can be muted and control who talks.

 

F2F is not just a transition to using the same in online format, it requires transition, testing, and revision.  I am going to explore Web 2.0 more.

Feedback is super important for the students and make sure you do not miss out on reflection after the program.

I have learned that regardless if you use live or self paced educaiton method online the key is communicaiton, and making sure dynamic sylabus and orgnization will be needed to help the studnets learn and manuover through the course.

I learned that there are several different online tools that can be used for their specific reason to help with leaning.  Many of these can be used alone or in conjuciton with the others.  You also need to continue to evaluate the tools and your abilities.  

You need to look at multiple evaluation sources to build the best view of the class and what changes need to be made.

Assesments come in several different forms and it is important that we make sure we use any and all that are need to make sure the student learning is continuing and to make sure that teaching processes are revised and improved to meet the needs.  depending on the content rubrics could be useful for Summary assessments, and self/peer.  

Once again communication is important, from the syslibus to interaction whether between the instructor, student, to an instructor, to a student, peer to peer, or group clear instruction and active listening are keys.  There are many platforms to use and i have explored some and will look for more to try and test.

 

 

In this session we learnd bout making sure format are consistant, no matter if it is by area or time.  Many of the items used as resource can or may be used in other lessons.  We have a resources sectionin our tool that we can build assignment and taskf for use in other programs. It also allows sharing between instructors.
