Channing Frazier

In this module I learned about the importance of online presence and that instructors need to take deliberate steps towards leading discussions, giving constructive feedback, and providing personalized notes early in the course. I also learned about the importance of having a biography ready and available on the first day of class to establish authority as the instructor.

I learned that the CMS and CMS structure is important not only for the instructor but for optimal instruction to students. Also, I learned the importance of having a deeper understanding of how the CMS tool works and what's expected of the instructor to manage the discussions, the chat, the calendar, the gradebook, etc. So that we can support students on a day-to-day basis.
