Learning outcomes should be the drive behind the lesson plans.  There should not be a strong focus on lesson planning to pass a standardized test.

Great content, can't wait to apply it.

It's important as an educator that diversity is the forefront of your planning. Student's not only learn at different levels but through different styles.

I do like the concept of the scaffolding approach to e-learning and all of the various supports that are needed to be successful.  Support comes from not just the instructor but also in the form of additional resources, synchoronus chat sessions, self reflection, and asynchoronus chats.

In order to have a successful e-learning program, it relys heavily upon appropriate design, development methodology and completing all steps from design to implementation.

One of the downsides to discussions is that a student may be delayed in completing their assignment because they are waiting on other students.  Allowing student's to take quizzes several times allows them to have a better understanding of the course content.

E-learning can be applied the same way face to face learning can be.

Student's need a course that's easy to follow and understand when a teacher and peers are not physically avaiable to help.  Having the breakdown of learning modules into lesseons helps the student's understand and follow the course content.  Navigation buttons also another way to allow ease of access to the student's.
