Activity

I learned that there are, most commonly, four reasons why students do not complete their course. They may feel alienated, the workload may seem too heavy, they may have competing responsibilities, or they may be having technical difficulties. It is our job as an educator to have open communication with our students so that we can help them mitigate these issues.

From this learning module I was reminded how important is to be familiar with your course and your school's CMS. It is imperative that you orient your students to the CMS and it's important to familiarize them with the structure and requirements of the course. If this is not done then you will most likely have a higher rate of confused student messages and attrition.
