I learned that students will be more engaged with learning, if i am excited about the material (which thankfully I am) and to always conduct myself like a professional, so i can lead by example, instead of preaching one thing, but living by another.

I learned about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and that its best to try and be Intrinsic because it last longer.

Give students the opportunity to have a sense of control over their learning. Also create and organized and clear guide to what is they'll be doing in the class to provide a good sense of security.
