I have learned methods of engaging the student in reflection of the content and their knowledge using the 13 points offer in this section. Asking certain questions which can be built on will help direct me, as the educator, on the improving my lecturing skills to help the learners understand the content

Probing will help the student to think deeper into the subject or questions asked. Redirection needs conscious thought as not to necessarily shut down/embarrass the student, but get the student and the group to redirect either to the correct topic or answer using higher level questions and thinking

Preparation time, class time, and the amount of class content case this technique to be underutilized. I look forward to testing the method out in the classroom instead of asking direct questions.

Wow! My biggest take away is the questioning of my students appropriately to get the feedback necessary to improve my teaching skills. I am sure to use Now that I am complete with this section, I am sure many of your have questions which need to be answered?!!! Verses the blanket, Any questions? I really could put myself in that classroom. And it may help lessen the amount of students who stay after to ask their questions in private when the entire class likely will want to know the answer.

structure and communication is the key for online learning/teaching. A Rubric can offer clear communication of course objectives but also be used as an evaluation tool of the students learning

it is important to engage in active listening, empathy with your audiences, and provide respectful dialogue avoiding interruptions which can be interpreted as disrespectful

I think it is important to not only consider my barriers and what I need to learn from each platform but also look at the barriers and audience I need to present too

Variety is the key to attention!

Thinking I really like the feedback/evaluation of the one-minute paper and the three clear and muddy points. using multiple forms of feedback will not only help my susccess as an educator, but the success of the student equally.

none judgmental, succinct, and informative feedback is necessary to build confidence
