"When you have formal mentoring, informal or something in between, it all impacts on retention. You are demonstrating that your school is structured as a caring environment."

I've learned that the more time the student spent during the admission process, the more informed the applicants will be, and the student will have less surprises and stress during the first day at school.

Once the student feels comfortable and connected to the school staff, administrator and Educator it is easy to build trust and  connection.

I like the tips/ things to include in ACADEMIC MEETINS:

1. Classmate Testimonials

2. Classmate Interactions

3. Class Picture

4. Welcome Packets

Building credibility, increasing value, and building departmental connections are important components to an effective orientation.

The key to any effective student participation is to have someone who is actively involved in running this program.

Having the right people for each job is the first step in providing exemplary student service. Hire enthusiastic, caring people who have the student's as their main objective. No matter how sophisticated an institution's systems may be, it is the people who make them work.

The most successful retention efforts are build on trust.

Stress promotes thoughts driven by how many resource reserve remain for coping.

Retention  is the by-product of doing the right things the right way, of having the right people in the right place at the right time.
