essay questions give the student a chance for a more thought out answer

a disservice is done to students when we allow other students to shout out an answer before they have had the time to formulate the correct answear.

its better to reward students for being on time then to punish students for being late due to things beyond their control like traffic accidents or being kept over at work.

finding ways to keep the students engaged and interested throughout the day will help in their long term interest in the subject.

although it can be easy to get bogged down in the material it is important to gauge breaks in the lectures off of the students and their ability to focus

utilizing multiple ways of connecting with and motivating students will be the best path for retention

the better I understand the students "why" for being there the better I will be able to effectively reach them as an instructor.
