About me

I always like to broaden my knowledge and to get the students to interact more within the class period.  I pose questions to them and let them know what they will see out there in a real world with a real life scenario.

Activity

From the lessons learn in the classroom. I always give the students something to think about and see if they have seen it in real life or see if they apply it where they work at.

Myself,

I always liked the open ended questioning technique cause it keeps the class away from answering the question with a yes or no answer.

It also allows the student to put the answer in his or her words.

What I have learn from the 4 different types of instructors in this lesson. Most of us are of the guided type. We have a plan and set of guide lines for the students to follow as close as we can trying not to help them. This will allow them to follow that guide line to succeed in obtaining their goal (a passing grade).  We know not to expect anything too much cause of how they were brought up.  Sometimes we expect to high.  But that is the only way that they can succeed if we push them.

the current generation will only accept help if you push the issue to them about tutoring.  For some barely passing is exceptable wear as other they want to exceed.  The motivated one will always seek help to better understand the material and to excell.

You can motivate some students by engaging in a conversation with them about what intrigues them in their carear choices. Why did they they pick this field and what they want out of it.  Then you can change your class around on how it relates to what they want and what they gain from it when they mix the two.

give them a exercise to where they can see what can happen in a couple of different senerios and compare it in a classroom discussion.

The newer generation like some of the older generations. Like to be shown what is the benefit of them learning and how they can apply it for them to make money the quick and easiest way.

that no two people will learn the same.  You have to be able to bridge the gap of that individual and explain to where they can see it to where its suppose to be learned.

Always be willing to try new teaching techniques to get across to the new style of student learning.

we have group lab periods where they talk amoung the group members, then give their answers.  When is comes to quizes or test.  It should aways be an individual effort.  This way, we can measure they adaptability to learn not only from you, but from there piers.
