Simulation activities tend to create a real life experience. Debriefing is important in understanding your students. Use activities that in include visual, auditory, and kinesthetic ways to teach.

When using color to in the classroom, chose colors the will create a welcoming environment. Avoid using colors that may trigger negative emotions or anxiety. Try using peripheral material with positive messages. Lighting is very important in a classroom. 

Avoid putting a student on the spot. Create a positive and welcoming environment for all students.

Having a good balance of lecture and demonstrations will give the students a better understanding of what you are trying to present.

 

Learning your students names and something about them will create a connection between student and teacher.

It is important to get to know your students as each student will have a different personality and the instructor will need to adapter to the student in order effectively communicate the lesson.

 

Develop a style of teaching but be prepared to adapt to your students because one particular style is not going to work on all students.
