The importance of giving the students a purpose within the course so that they stay motivated and engaged.

For my course, the quizzes are already created for me, but I do like to include quiz-style questions within the lecture itself to assess knowledge along the way.

I did not even consider reaching out to professionals in order to provide guest speakers in class. It was helpful to read over all of the strategies that are just as useful in an online setting as they are in person.

I would like to ensure that my instructions and assignments are organized and well discussed and prepared for so that the students don't experience any frustration during the week while completing assignments.

How to encourage and promote critical thinking. Instructors can also model critical thinking, and provide opportunities for students to use this skill in their every day life.

The importance of rubrics, not only for the instructor when explaining expectations and grading, but for the students to self-monitor during their preparation of an assignment.

I learned the importance of an online learning platform that runs smoothly so that the students can have an organized and uninterrupted learning experience.

Active learning increases retention and promotes interacting with course material rather than memorizing it.
