I feel that each instructor that is currenlty teaching should take this coure. I wish I would have taken it prior to me beginning my teaching career. There are so many things that I will use in my class and NOT use in my class. I found that trying to be friends with your students is not always the best practice. I also found that making the syllabus stand out will be helpful.

I have also found that I am making some mistakes as well. I have tried to become more friendly with my students to gain their trust. From this course, I have found I am soooo wrong. I will definately take a lot from this course and apply it in my classroom.

I like to ask the students questions about the lecture I just gave and sing the Jepordy song while they think. It brings something fun to the day.

I have online classes and I get late assignments every term. I always have a few students who do not turn in enough work and do not pass. I would like some advice on how to handle this situation. I constantly call, email, and even text students now to get their assignments turned in. This is an ongoing issue for me and I wish I could get the majority of it solved.
