I have learned that using multiple evaluation methods are beneficial and it helps determine that students have acquired their knowledge, skills, and abilities provided in the course,

Providing feedback to students regarding their work helps improve learning. I find this to be the same in both face-to-face instruction and in distance learning and the importance of using formative evaluation and summative evaluation.

I learned in this module about the use of scaffolding to provide structure for student learning and focus on student activities. It is necessary to use the eight tasks in scaffolding. I plan to apply the eight tasks in scaffolding such as provide clear instructions; clarify purpose; keep students on task; offer an assessment to clarify purpose; reduce uncertainty and disappointment; be efficient; and clear momentum.

What I have learned from this module is about the use of language when giving instruction to students. Similar to the classroom setting as in distance learning, the language when providing instruction and direction must be consistent otherwise, students will lose focus and student learning will suffer.

In this module, I learned how to keep student records effectively, how to communicate to students, what methods to use in counseling students, dealing with undesirable students, and student retention.

In this module, I have learned the differences between synchronous and asynchronous discussions and apply them in distance learning according to individual student's method of learning.

Instructors must be familiar with the delivery format and course content to be an effective online instructor.

Distance learning has similarities with face-to-face classroom learning. The instructor must gain authority when the students know the teacher's credentials and experience.

I learned that instructors must be familiar with each student's biography in order to deliver instructions and meet the needs of individual students.

I learned that instructors have different methods of online delivery of instruction to reach their objectives.
