About me

Professor of Mathematics at the undergraduate and graduate university level.

Activity

I learned the importance of following up on special cases of students who may drop out of the course and how to prevent this from happening.

I learned that to encourage synchronous student participation, it's advisable to provide them with materials and rubrics well in advance of the session. For asynchronous participation, I learned that student participation should be tracked at all times and a concise summary of all contributions should be provided at the end of the due date.

I learned the importance of setting synchronous and asynchronous hours, as well as encouraging group study among students who live in the same area.

Make sure I know how to use the CMS provided by the university, and test the tools I developed in the course with the student profile.

I learned that sometimes is not good to use rubrics.

I learned to establish differences between assessment and evaluation.

I learned that to select the appropriate technological tool for student evaluation, we must take into account the rubric of a particular topic, examine whether the chosen tool meets the established objectives and if not, try another tool, and before doing so, take into account the feedback provided by the students.
