About me

It is a helpful reminder, and something to discuss with my teams, that you should not shy away from conversations about concerns within the industy of study for the student and the obvious disability- such as a student in a wheelchair interested in enrolling in a Criminal Justice program.

I have learned that accomodations need to be relevant to the documented disability. This is a great way to gauge student by student cases.

This module helped me understand as a Campus Administrator the differences between the personal responsibility of the student opposed to the responsibility of what is required to provide from the institute.

As a Campus Administrator, this module helped me understand the differences between the personal responsibility of the student and what is expected from the institute.

I found the Asperger's example very helpful in understanding that services can be given to help control a student's behavior, but that the student still needs to control the bhavior ultimately.

I have had no educational background before coming to YTI- so I love that we are able to print the modules- I have a quick reference packet now that I can refer to if I am ever in a sticky situation!
